FAWNLET WEBSITE - FAQ

Q: What is Fawnlet?

A: Fawnlet is the only boylove themed magazine on the internet. It offers editorials and opinion pieces, essays, interviews, articles, news, movie, TV and book reviews, features and specials, and much more -- all from a BL perspective. This is the world as boylovers see it.

Q: So this is a magazine for boylovers? What does that mean?

A: Nowhere in today's vast media landscape can boylovers find anything that caters to our interests, or presents the world from our point of view.  Fawnlet aims to give the individual boylover a voice, a platform upon which he can express his innermost feelings about boys. To say what he truly thinks and feels, things that everywhere else he is forced to keep bottled up.

Q: Will non-BLs, especiallly those who hate pedophilia, be offended by this?

A: While the magazine is made to appeal to boylovers, non-BLs and even (in fact, especially) anti-BLs can benefit from learning something about boylovers that they didn't know before: That we are just regular people. If reading Fawnlet helps them to see this, then we wholeheartedly encourage it.

Q: Does Fawnlet advocate sexual relations between men and boys?

A: Not at all. Fawnlet does not say men should have sex with boys. But Fawnlet also doesn't say men should NOT have sex with boys. In other words, we don't tell people how they should feel about the subject; we believe every boylover should decide for himself.

We like to say that we are "contact-nuetral."

Q: Where did Fawnlet come from? Who owns it?

A: Fawnlet is owned and operated by a small group of boylovers who decided that the BL community needs to be represented in media, with a product that gives legitimacy to their feelings rather than the damnation we typically see.

This is a dynamic and vibrant community, and we feel it should have a magazine that reflects those qualities, and shows us off to the world -- at our best.

Yet while it may technically be owned by several individuals, it "belongs" to the entire boylove community. Everyone, from every board/chat/server/group is invited to submit written materials for inclusion in future issues of Fawnlet. We rely on the active participation of boylovers to keep providing us with content to fill the pages.

Q: How often does Fawnlet publish new issues?

A: Fawnlet publishes a new issue on the 15th of every March, June, September and December. So four times a year.

Q: I have written some new material that I think would be good in Fawnlet. How do I submit it for consideration?

A: You can send us your stuff one of several ways:

* Email it as an attached file or copy and paste the text directly into the body of the email.
-- The file formats we accept are: .txt, .rtf, .doc, .odt, .PDF
-- Send to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

* Use the Submission page on this website. Paste the text of your submission into the field box, type in your nickname and email address in the form, and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

Q: What kind of material is Fawnlet looking for?

A: Basically, anything. Literally. Your imagination is the limit. However, there is ONE primary unbreakable rule, and it is: The submission MUST be in some way related to BOYS -- or boylove, or boylovers.

There are other rules as well, governing content and presentation. Click here to read the Submission Guidelines.

Q: Will I get in trouble for looking at Fawnlet? It's not illegal, is it?

A: Fawnlet Magazine completely abides by the laws of the United States of America. The authors have the right to free speech and the magazine has the right to publish what they say. Regarding the images used both on the website and within the issues, there is nothing that would even be remotely considered illegal in the USA or similar countries.

Q: Is Fawnlet hiring? Who do I talk to about possibly working for Fawnlet?

A: As a fledgling publication, Fawnlet could certainly use all the help it can get. At the moment we are primarily iin need of writers, editors and proofreaders. If you are interested, please email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Put "Jobseeker" in the Subject line, and in the body state your nickname, your age, what online forum/chat/website you belong to or frequent, which job you are interested in, and your credentials (if any). Fawnlet is an entirely volunteer run operation, and is looking for boylovers who are willing to give their time and energy to serve their community.

Q: What if I want to contact Fawnlet about something other than a job, or submitting something?

A: For any questions, comments, concerns or compliments (or anything else), please send to:  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
